My dad and his friends are going trekking to Mt. Pinatubo on Feb. 8. My sister and my cousin are tagging along. I raised my hands and said I wanted to join too, but my mom was violently against it.
The reason: my mom thinks my knees won't hold up for the 1 hour trek. I tried reasoning with her. I told her I am already on medication. Following the doctor's advice, I am already taking Arcoxia (see picture to the right). I even told her that I hardly feel pain anymore (wink). It is not like I am sedentary. I can stand 45 minutes of Turbo Jam (but with 1 rest in between), so I think I can manage trekking for 1 hour. But alas, there is no reasoning with my mom.
So here I am, 32 years old and all, and I feel like I am a 16 year old (half my age) asking permission from my mom to allow me to go out with my friends.
My next tactic would be to coax my dad into convincing my mom to finally give in and let me do the Pinatubo Trek! Wish me luck.
tsk tsk. that's what you call "OLD". haha! just kidding ate. very lucky because of his dad.haha!
